PURPOSE:To obtain the subject apparatus giving high quality laver by providing a conveyor for transferring laver to a drying chamber, a heater having a specific structure and placed above said conveyor, a heat-sensitive element to control the electric current supplied to said heater and a reflecting plate placed under the conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A laver sheet is placed on a belt conveyor 3, transferred to a drying chamber 2 and uniformly toasted with a far infrared heater 8 having a far infrared emitting surface made of magnesia, etc., and composed of a large plate heater consisting of a plurality of large blocks (composed of plural small blocks) placed at the upper part in the drying chamber 2 and controlled with a heat sensitive element 15. The temperature difference in the drying chamber is eliminated by a reflecting plate 16 and a blower 17 placed under the conveyor. |
