PURPOSE:To improve a color forming sensitivity, enhance a whiteness, and obtain high-quality performances in an image part in resistance to light, resistance to moisture, resistance to plasticizer, and the like by incorporating a sensitizer made of a compound shown by a specific chemical structural formula. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material in which an electron donative colorless color former and an electron accepting color developing substance provided on a substrate are melted to produce a color, a compound shown by a formula I is incorporated as a sensitizer. In the formula, Z1 is -R group (R is hydrocarbon radical having 6 or less carbon atoms), -OR group, -COOR group, -CONHR group, -OR group, or halogen atom; Z2 is -R group, -OR group, or halogen atom; X is O atom or S atom; Y is lower alkylene group; (m) and (n) are 0, 1, or 2 (but are not 0 at the same time); and (c) is an integer of 1-4. As the sensitizer of the compound shown by the formula I, an ester made of (poly)alkylene (thio)phenyl ether and aromatic monocarboxylic acid having substituent (-R group, -OR group, or-Cl atom) can be concretely exemplified. |
