PURPOSE:To obtain an electric wire with good heat resistance by winding the conductor with a reinforced mica tape made by integrally bonding an inorganic fiber cloth with mica using an inorganic polymer as adhesive, directly or through another heat resisting coating layer. CONSTITUTION:Borosiloxane resin coating is made by dissolving 100 weight part of the borosiloxane resin into 60wt. part of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone as a solvent. Glass cloths 3 are impregnated with the borosiloxane resin coating so as to have adhesion quantity of the borosiloxane resin at 5, 15 and 25% after drying respectively, and a layer of mica 2 is formed and bonded to the glass cloths 3 after drying. Furthermore, the same glass cloths 3 impregnated with the borosiloxane resin as the lower layer are laminated on the layer of mica 2 and dried, so three kinds of glass reinforced mica tapes are made in thickness of 0.13mm. These glass reinforced mica tapes 4 are wound on a nickel- plated aluminum J dispersion-reinforced copper wire 5 of 1mm in diameter with lap winding of width 1/8 respectively, and thus a heat resisting electric wire 6 is provided. |
