CELL DIVISION-ACCELERATING HIGH MOLECULAR ACTIVATING FACTOR-CONTAINING COMPOSITION OF HIGHER PLANT AND ITS USE

PURPOSE:To contrive to promote the culture of cells by adding a cell division- accelerating high molecular activating factor-containing composition to a higher plant-originated plant cell culture medium, the composition being prepared by removing substances having mol.wts. of <= a specific value from the supernatant of the cultured product of a Solanaceae plant. CONSTITUTION:A supernatant is separated from the cultured product of the tissue of a Solanaceae plant by a centrifugal method and subsequently subjected to an ultrafiltration treatment to remove substances having mol.wts. of <=100000, thereby providing a cell division-accelerating polymeric active factor-containing composition employed for promoting the culture of higher plant-originated plant cells.
