<p>PURPOSE:To enable a high quality image to be obtained without generating a split line at a block boundary part due to density difference by equalizing the sum of the first and second recording data to image data corresponding to thermal elements. CONSTITUTION:The first recording data is set in thermal elements positioned at a boundary part between adjacent split blocks, and then is thermally driven at the same time as the first split block of two split blocks. Next, the second recording data is set in thermal elements positioned at the boundary part, and then is thermally driven at the same time as the second split block of two split blocks and thermal elements. In this way, the sum of the first and second recording data is equalized to image data corresponding to thermal elements. Consequently, the temperature of thermal elements at the boundary part between the adjacent blocks is prevented from becoming low and thereby a stripped pattern (split line) is prevented from generating at the boundary part of the split blocks.</p> |
