The invention relates to hydraulic percussion apparatus. According to the invention, it comprises a body (1) including an anvil (5), a striker piston (10) and a valve (14) comprising a spherical closure element (16) and an abutment sleeve (15) provided with a conical internal surface (20) and with a working end including bosses (21) located diametrically opposite each other in pairs, with respect to the longitudinal axis (22) of the body (1), the lateral working surfaces of the diametrically opposed bosses (21) point towards the spherical closure element (16), and at least part of each of these lateral working surfaces is flat, these flat parts (23) being located in intersecting planes. The invention applies particularly to building, to the oil, gas, and water extraction industry, to geological prospecting and other sectors, for intensifying the boring of wells. <IMAGE>
