Apparatus for cleaning deposits from the outside surface of pipes 1 of small diameter. It comprises a rotating central shaft 5, actuated by a motor, at least one rotating planet shaft (7), its axis being parallel to that of the central shaft, fitted with a brush whose bristles (11) are long enough to enter into frictional contact with the outer surface of the pipes, and a planetary reduction gear (2) which drives the planet shaft off the central shaft. Application to cleaning heat exchangers. <IMAGE>
