The invention relates to a self-locking femoral prosthesis to be implanted in the upper half of the femur by means of a malleable and elastic metal sheath, having a shape adapted to the inner configuration of the upper end and the femoral diaphysis. This metal sheath is made up of two parts, an inner part and outer part. At the level of their upper half, the inner sheath fixes the prosthesis and the outer sheath secures and blocks the assembly at the level of the bone. Their lower half consists of a blade intended to be fixed in the femoral diaphysis. By virtue of its elastic quality, it transmits the mechanical stresses to the bone. <IMAGE>
