PURPOSE:To set the device to a state for matching a feature of an ultrasonic probe even if the ultrasonic probe is switched, and to improve the picture quality of an ultrasonic image by allowing every ultrasonic probe to have preset data, and also, selecting the preset data corresponding to the ultrasonic probe. CONSTITUTION:From a standard data setting circuit 20, standard data corresponding to its probe characteristic is read out at every probe, and by operating a console 8, the standard data is preset by a preset data setting circuit 21, and the obtained preset data is stored in a backup memory 22. Also, the preset data is read out of this backup memory 22, and only the preset data corresponding to the probe is selected by a probe selecting circuit 23. In such a way, the preset data selected by the probe selecting circuit 23 is outputted to a system controller 10 through a data output circuit 24. Accordingly, the system controller 10 controls a system state of the device by controlling a transmission/reception control circuit 4 and a DSC control circuit 5. |
