The invention relates to a centrifugal-force separator comprising a vortex cylinder, an internal tube located in the upper part of the said vortex cylinder, an inlet pipe arranged tangentially to the external periphery of the vortex cylinder, an inlet nozzle opening made in the lower part of the vortex cylinder, a flow-straightening element 2 placed in a space located directly beneath the internal tube which comprises a conical element coaxial with the internal tube and guide plates arranged along the peripheral external surface of the said conical element, and neutralising the tangential velocity components of the spiral flow, converting the latter into a purely axial flow, by virtue of which the vortices, which are not necessary for the separation of the particles and which are the cause of energy loss, are shed (removed). For example, instead of closing the elongate part of the conical element and opening the lower surface, the upper part may be opened, whereas the lower surface is closed, so as to prevent the air flow from passing into the flow-straightening element. In addition, the guide plates may be twisted.
