PURPOSE:To produce the cast iron clad steel billet having an excellent vibration- damping property and excellent toughness and weldability by rolling a laminated iron steel billet formed by laminating a cast iron which consists of a molten iron added with either of Ca-Si or Fe-Si on a steel product under specific rolling conditions. CONSTITUTION:The cast iron formed by adding either of 0.1 to 20% Ca-Si or 0.1 to 20% Fe-Si, by weight %, to the molten iron having >=2.5% carbon equiv. regulated by C%+1/3 Si% and casting this molten iron, then solidifying the casting is laminated on the steel product to constitute the laminated iron steel billet. This laminated iron steel billet is heated to 900 to 1140 deg.C and is subjected to finish rolling at >=750 deg.C finishing temp. As a result, the cast iron clad steel product consisting of the flake graphite cast iron and the ordinary steel or special steel and having the excellent vibration-damping property and the excellent toughness and weldability is produced at a low cost with a high productivity. |
