PURPOSE:To improve the controllability of a sheet shape and to prevent genera tion of jumping by providing a roll offset adjusting device which can adjust a horizontal roll bender and roll offset quantity in at least one piece of rolls among work rolls and intermediate rolls. CONSTITUTION:The magnitude of the horizontal bending force applied to a work roll 3, the roll offset quantity and the roll shift quantity are set in a rolling mill when a sheet size, rolling reduction and other rolling condition as well as a target sheet shape, sheet crown and edge drop quantity are inputted to a computer for rolling control. The work rolls 3 apply the horizontal roll bending force so as to convexly curve toward the outlet side of the rolling mill and offset toward the outlet side of the rolling mill. The shape, crown and edge drop quantity of the sheet rolled on the outlet side of the rolling mill are measured during the rolling. The shape, crown and edge drop quantity of the sheet are controlled in accordance with the results thereof. |
