PURPOSE:To obtain the subject device realizing simplifying and making to small size and light weight by installing a needle bed, a carriage movably set over the bed and a driving source of carriage using ultrasonic oscillator containing a mechanical resonator having vibrating site performing approximately elliptical vibration. CONSTITUTION:The aimed driving device is composed of a needle bed 2, a carriage 1 movably set over the needle bed 2 being supported by a roller 3 and an ultrasonic oscillator 11 containing mechanical resonator having vibrating site performing approximately elliptical vibration as driving source of the carriage 1. The ultrasonic oscillator 11 is fixed on under face of the carriage 1 and projections 4a and 4b are fixed on the both ends of the oscillator, then knitting machine is driven by driving device having said projections 4a and 4b contact-bonded on a rail 5 installed on the needle bed 2. Besides, driving force by the ultrasonic oscillator 11 is able to be a large output by increasing contact-bonding force between the projections 4a and 4b and the rail 5. |
