PURPOSE:To record a recording image on a recording medium by thinning by a method wherein a recording control means which controls a recording mechanism part and a data control means which controls an interface to an outer device and processes by editing a recording data are separated, and drive signals to a recording head are thinned independently with a recorder. CONSTITUTION:A recording control means is equipped with a recording head, which controls a recording mechanism part for recording on a recording medium, and outputs a transfer timing signal of a recording data in synchronization with transfer to the recording head. Further, a data control means inputs a recording data from an outer device, and outputs the recording data to the recording control means in synchronization with said transfer timing signal. Then, this recording control means thins recording image on the recording medium to be recorded by thinning drive signals to the recording head. For instance, when an input to a decoder 173 is '0', thinning is performed with a gate 183. When '00', a dot (2n+1)-th in order in an odd line and a dot 2n-th in order in an even line, where n is an arbitrary integer, are heated to be thinned through a gate 184. |
