A pair of rollers (51', 52'), which are tangential along a common generatrix and rotate in opposite directions, is placed in the path of the processed document (3) so that the latter is engaged between the two rollers and is entrained towards the output slot (6) placed immediately thereafter. The plane (53') common to the axes of the rollers makes an acute angle (b) with the plane of the upstream path of the document, so that its downstream path is less inclined to the horizontal than its upstream path, and so that the processed document (3) leaves in a direction sufficiently close to the horizontal.
