A cast of the jaw of the patient is divided into as many parts (11) as there are teeth (12). A vestibular attachment (13) is placed temporarily on each tooth (12). The vestibular attachment (13) and its tooth (12) are fitted on a first attachment holder (21), and a lingual attachment (14) to be placed on a second attachment holder (22) imparting the same inclination and torsion as does the first attachment holder (21). The lingual attachment (14) is then fixed by displacing the second attachment holder (22) in translation with respect to the first one (21). The vestibular attachment (13) is removed, and the complete cast is rebuilt with a view to transferring all the lingual attachments (14) onto the teeth of the patient. The invention is used in orthodontic surgeries and laboratories. <IMAGE>
