Procedure and device for water treatment - by biologically purifying by flowing over roots of water plants in labyrinthine path

The waste water is conveyed in a labyrinthine path past the roots of water plants at a slight hydraulic gradient. The path may have a vertical as well as a horizontal component, and the water may also be cleaned by a mechanical means. Strongly-rooted plants esp. march plants such as reeds, bulrushes and/or march irises etc. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for the biological cleaning of the liqs. and esp. of waste water from garden ponds, streams, etc. Improves effectiveness in comparison with presently used methods.
