Thermosetting compsns. based on isocyanates (I) and OH cpds. (II) in the form of 2-compartment cartridges, are used for producing attachments and fasteners in and on wooden articles. Pref. (I) consists of a mixt. of aromatic and aliphatic isocyanates in 5:95-95:5 wt. ratio; and (II) of a mixt. of polyester and polyether polyols in 80:2000:100 wt. ratio. USE/ADVANTAGE - Technique is simple. In use, the cartridge is ruptured and polyurethanes with very good adhesion to various materials are formed. Cure is complete, even at temps. below 0 deg.C and the hardness and elasticity of the prod. and reactivity of the raw materials with water can be varied as reqd. Certain drawbacks associated with the use of epoxide resin adhesives, unsatd.
