The jar model is mounted on a carrier plate and is probed by a rod movable in parallel and/or vertically. The upper and/or lower jaw model is orientated in its length centre axis (46) on the base support (37). The latter is inserted in a holding shoe (35,36) of a work-top (2). A measuring probe or instrument is movable along a height-adjustable guide rod (17). The relative length movability (X-axis), the transverse movability (Y-axis) and the height movability (Z-axis) of the probe or instrument are ascertained by assigned digital or other type of measuring device (22,23). The guide rod can be electrically or pneumatically driven. USE/ADVANTAGE - Utmost precision of tooth geometry in three-dimensions.
