PURPOSE:To accurately display the residual capacity of the battery of a radio machine by obtaining a ratio of the difference between the voltage for wait and that for transmission to the difference between the voltage for transmission and a limit voltage to detect the residual capacity. CONSTITUTION:Wait information and transmission information of the radio machine are inputted to a battery voltage detecting part 1 to detect and output the voltage of a battery 6 for wait and that for transmission, and a battery voltage comparing part 2 compares these voltages to output the difference voltage. A reference voltage comparing part 3 compares the voltage for transmission outputted from the battery voltage detecting part 1 and a preliminarily set operation limit voltage of the radio machine with each other to output the difference voltage. A relative voltage comparing part 4 compares outputs from the battery voltage comparing part 2 and the reference voltage comparing part 3 with each other to output a ratio of them, and a residual capacity comparing part 5 displays the residual capacity of the battery in accordance with the output from the relative voltage comparing part 4. Thus, the residual capacity of the battery 6 to the operation limit voltage of the radio machine is accurately displayed.
