PURPOSE:To secure the combustion stability of a mixture without impairing the low speed accelerating property by arranging injectors injecting fuel at least at the high-load area or the high-speed area of an engine at the upper section of the collection chamber of branch passages. CONSTITUTION:An intake manifold 1 has branch passages 3 (31-34) connected to cylinders at downstream ends, a collection chamber 4 collecting their upstream ends, and an upstream passage 5 extended from it. Injectors 61-64 injecting fuel into branch passages 3 are arranged at the downstream section of branch passages 3. An injector 7 injecting fuel into the collection chamber 4 is arranged at the portion near the upstream side end face 4B connected with the upstream passage 5 on the upstream side of the collection chamber 4. At least the injector 7 on the upstream side is controlled by a controller 9, and fuel is injected at the high-load area or the high-speed area of an engine in particular. |
