ELECTRONIC COMPONENT AUTOMATIC INSERTING METHOD AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To enable the lead wire of an electronic component to be surely inserted without the loss of time by a method wherein the position of a printed board is corrected basing on the visually recognized signal so as to optimize the positional relation between lead wire guide pins and lead wire inserting holes. CONSTITUTION:A position control 26 computes data concerning the position of a halfway point 32 between the centers of lead wire guide pins 27 and 28 and the position of a halfway point 33 between the centers of lead wire inserting holes 29 and 30 basing on the signal detected by a visual recognition section 25 and stores. The data of the positions of insertion holes where an electronic part is inserted, which are previously programmed in the position control 26, are modified so as to make the halfway points 32 and 33 coincident with each other in position and stored, whereby the positional relation between the lead wire insertion holes 29 and 30 of the printed board 22 and the lead wire guide pins 27 and 28 is optimized to execute an inserting operation of an electronic part 31 into the holes of the printed board 22.
