PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a sequence for adjusting a carried material position right before and after printing, and to eliminate the need to repeat the forward rotation and reverse rotation of a transfer material carrying motor by inputting a print image signal to a photosensitive body in synchronism with the acceleration/deceleration characteristics of the transfer material carrying motor. CONSTITUTION:A 1st print image is written line by line, on the photosensitive body 13 at time intervals corresponding to the acceleration characteristics at the time of starting the transfer material carrying motor 11 and when a transfer position is reached, the transfer material carrying motor 11 starts to carry a transfer material A according to the acceleration characteristics, thereby performing transfer operation. When the transfer material carrying motor 11 reaches a constant rotating speed, the print image is written on the photosensitive body 13 at normal time intervals and transferred. When the transfer material carrying motor 11 enters a speed reduction state according to a print stop instruction right before the end of the printing, the print image is written, line by line, on the photosensitive body 13 at time intervals corresponding to the deceleration characteristics of the transfer material carrying motor 11 and thus transferred. Consequently, the need for the sequence of returning operation resulting from the overrun of the transfer material at the time of stopping printing is eliminated, and the transfer material carrying motor need not be rotated forward or reversed. |
