Low viscosity electro-viscous fluid

An electro-viscous liq. contains (A) an (un)branched, opt. functionalised, polyether or its monomer, or the conversion prod. of such a polyether or monomer with mono- or oligo-functional cpds., and opt. other additives, (B) a dispersant, and (C) a non-aq. dispersion medium. (A) The component is pref. liq. during the dispersion, and is opt. converted to a highly viscous of solid form by addn. of reactive additives before, during or after the dispersion. (B) The component is a polysiloxane-polyether copolymer, or alkoxy-or acetoxy-polysiloxane. (C) The component is a silicone oil, a siloxane contg. F (opt. mixed with F-free siloxane), or a hydrocarbon.
