PURPOSE:To properly display the residual capacity of a battery without puzzling a user by momently calculating the power consumption of an equipment in accordance with a use condition based on a preliminarily determined coefficient and storing the information to report the residual capacity of the battery. CONSTITUTION:A portable telephone set consists of a telephone main body 1 and a Ni-Cd battery 2 from which power is supplied to the telephone main body 1, and this battery 2 can be mechanically detached from the telephone main body 1 and is independently charged. The power consumption of the portable telephone set is momently calculated in accordance with the use condition based on the preliminarily determined coefficient, and the information is stored to detect the residual capacity of the battery. Thus, an influence of the temperature of the air, the variance of load, or the like is prevented on the way of the use. and the residual capacity is properly displayed without puzzling the user. |
