The facade of a wall consists of panels (3) which are mounted on frames constructed from hollow sections (18) which are attached to the wall by fixing elements (10). The panel (3) is fastened to the hollow section (18) by spring clips (22a) which grip the inner edge (31) of the hollow section (18) and the bevelled outer edge of the panel (3). The panel (3) is held away from the hollow section (18) by a spacing strip (21) and the gap between the panel (3) and the hollow section (18) is filled with a sealing compound (32).
