Opto-electronic correlator for information identification

摘要

The correlator uses a tapped delay line, provided by a planar light waveguide coil contained within a helical groove in the surface of a silicon wafer. Pref. the helical groove is formed in the surface of the silicon wafer is obtained via an etching process, with an optical fibre pressed into the obtained groove to obtain the waveguide coil, which can be mechanically or chemically treated at spaced points, to form the light output windows.
