<p>PURPOSE:To perform high precision, and smooth control by a simple structure by performing relative turning movement between a body of rotation and a cam shaft by relative press-control of each moving member relative to each inclined face of the body of rotation. CONSTITUTION:In low load region of an engine, an electro-magnetic actuator 35 is turned off to locate a spool valve 33 at a left position by force of a spring 34, and a first plunger 14 is advanced so as for its pressing face 18a to press a first inclined face 7a by the resultant force of a spring 21 and high oil pressure in a pressure receiving chamber 16. As a result, the valve timing is set at a turning position where the closing timing of an intake valve is delayed. On the other hand, in a high load region, the electro-magnetic actuator 35 is turned on to move the spool valve 33 to the right, and a second plunger 15 is advanced so that its pressing face 19a may be pressed against a second inclined face 8a by the resultant force of a spring 22 and high oil pressure in a pressure receiving chamber 17. As a result, the valve timing is set at a turning position where the closing timing of the intake valve is advanced.</p> |
