PURPOSE:To stably obtain preferable copied picture quality with uniform picture density by detecting the density of the toner image of a standard table after the latent image of the standard table of reference density formed on an image carrier is developed, processing this detected information and controlling toner supply to a developing means. If the toner reflection density is high, it is maintained as it is, whereas if it is low, a control part 100 supplies toner T in a hopper 34 to the developing device 30 by rotating a toner supplying roller 35. Thus, a toner ratio to a developer can be maintained at an appropriate value and a preferable picture can always by obtained. |
