<p>PURPOSE:To obtain high image definition without generating unevenness in liquid crystal orientation by performing the chamfering of the corner part of a pixel electrode at an origin side in the direction of rubbing processing at the visual plane. CONSTITUTION:Gate bus lines 14 are provided on a transparent substrate 11 in parallel, and source bus lines 13 are provided intersecting orthogonally with them. A chamfering part 39 is formed at the corner part on one side of the pixel electrode 12. The chamfering part 39 is provided at the corner part of the pixel electrode 12 at the origin side in the rubbing direction(direction shown by an arrow 38) of an orientation film 17 formed later. When no chamfering part 39 is provided at the pixel electrode 12, the unevenness occurs in the liquid crystal orientation, however, a satisfactory display device without generating a trouble such as a display defect can be obtained by providing the chamfering part 39. Thereby, it is possible to obtain the high image definition without generating the unevenness in the liquid crystal orientation.</p> |
