Electrostatic filter provided for removing dust from gases and comprising a tube (1) traversed by an axial wire (9) at a different electrical potential. In order to clean the tube (1) of the dust deposit adhering to the wall, there is provision for a brush (13) actuated from the outside in order to slide in the tube (1) and a sealed means (15) for closing off the tube during the cleaning operation.
