PURPOSE:To specify a narrow area and to easily destaticize it by setting the destaticized area twice or less as large as the pitch of a light emitting diode LED. CONSTITUTION:In the Figure of characteristic showing the characteristic of light quantity distribution on a photosensitive drum 1, a continuous line shows the irradiating light quantity of each chip LED, and a broken line shows the synthesized light quantity of each chip LED. By taking the area having copying optical density OD<=1 as the destaticized area, the pitch of the LED, the position of the LED and reflectance on the inner surface of a partition, etc., are adjusted so that the destaticized area may be twice or less as large as the pitch of the LED. Thus, the light quantity is synthesized and the trough of the light quantity distribution of the LED simple substance is filled up. Then, the distribution of the light quantity is made uniform, a halftone area is narrowed, and what is called the sharpness of the destaticized area is improved. Thus, the destaticization only in a narrow area is possible. |
