<p>In an injection-blow moulding machine for producing containers with necks from plastics material, the machine being of the kind in which cores move alternately between injection moulds on which a parison is formed and blow moulds in which the parison, carried on the core, is expanded to form the container, and including neck moulds for forming a screw thread or other formation on the neck in the injection step, both the injection moulds (22) and the blow moulds (20) are of unsplit form, and there are neck forming sleeves and shoulder forming sleeves concentrically one within the other. The neck forming sleeve (32) may be rotatable to release the neck, in which case it is unsplit. The shoulder forming sleeve (30) is also unsplit. The neck forming sleeve (140) may be split into sectors. It always moves with the parison. The shoulder forming sleeve (30 min ) may remain aligned with the blow mould.</p> |
