PURPOSE:To obtain a developing method where the gap control is not required and the charged quantity is not changed, by providing a gap between a photosensitive drum and a donor roller and by forming collonades with iron powder and by leading a charged toner to a latent image along these collonades. CONSTITUTION:A donor roller 5 faces to a photosensitive drum 1 through a development gap (t) 0.5-5mm. wide, and an iron powder 8 as the carrier supplied to this space, and each roller speed is adjusted to keep the iron powder 8 in a developing part 7. Under this state, a voltage of +150V is applied to a sleeve 5a to charge an insulating nonmagnetic toner 11, and development is performed; and thus, vivid pictures are obtained even after 100,000 copies because the iron powder 8 runs in collonades and the toner 11 is moved along collonades. As the result, gap control for the development of one component system is not required, and a new developing method is obtained which has not the problem of the variance of the charge quantity for the development of two component system. |
