PURPOSE:To obtain a molded product superior in heat resistance and transparency, by a method wherein while heating a nonorientated and amorphous sheet consisting mainly of polyester, molding is performed along with heating of a plug covered with a fusing-resistant material, a temperature of a mold is regulated. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a polyester vessel is manufactured by making use of a pressure forming machine, since a sheet 1 which consists mainly of polyester and is substantially nonorientated and amorphous is wound round a feed roll 11 of a sheet feed device 10, the sheet 1 is sent to a heating device 20 through a guide roll 12. Then after heating of the sheet 1 at 90-120 deg.C with heaters 22A, 22B, preshaping of the sheet 1 is performed by lowering a plug 32 heated at 140-180 deg.C within a mold 31, temperature regulation of which is performed at the glass transition point or lower under a state where the sheet 1 is sent to a shaping device 30 intermittently and sealed by being placed between the mold 31 and an air-pressure sealing part 3. Compressed air is fed through a compressed air feed pipe of the air-pressure sealing part 33 in succession and the sheet 1 is shaped into a cuplike vessel 2. |
