<p>PURPOSE:To improve handling conditions, by a method wherein when it is decided that the pattern to be being formed is a final stitch pattern at a continuous pattern-forming mode, a data-reading means is shifted by a selecting means to the readout state of a stopping stitch, after the formation of its stitch pattern, and the stopping stitch is done by a stitch-forming mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a stitch mode-presetting switch 16 is operated by a user, in order that a continuous stitch is ended, i.e., the switch is shifted from continuous stitch mode to single stitch mode; while a stitch data is being read out at the practice of a data-outputting program, stitches are formed on the basis of its data and are continued until the stitch pattern to be being formed is ended. After the stitch pattern is formed, it is decided that it is YES when an endcode has been read out, and a microcomputer 19 sets '3' on a counter 'q' for the stopping stitch (q 3), following which it sets a stopping flag 'h' (h 1). After that, the step for the stopping stitch is repeated until the value of the counter 'q' reaches zero, and its stitches are formed three times at the position of a stitch end, and thus the stopping stitch is formed.</p> |
