<p>PURPOSE:To keep the traveling height of a tape constant between plural actuators by controlling the actuators after the first actuator by difference between the output of a correspondent tape displacement sensor and the output of the first tape displacement sensor. CONSTITUTION:On the entrance side of a drum 1, a first sensor 2 and a first actuator are arranged to adjust the position of the tape in a breadthwise direction and on the exit side of the drum, a second actuator 5 and a second sensor 4 are arranged. Then, feedback control is executed to the first actuator 3 by the output of the first sensor 2 and to the second actuator 5 by the output difference between the second sensor 4 and the first sensor 2 respectively. Namely, the fluctuation of the tape at the position of the first sensor 2 is kept at a reference traveling position by operating the first actuator 3 and the following actuators are controlled so that the position of the tape at the following sensor positions can be the tape position of the first sensor 2. Then, while keeping the tape horizontal between the sensors, the tape traveling position is regulated and the tape traveling height is kept constant. Thus, the tape can be traveled at a reference height position.</p> |
