<p>Rectangular sheets of wood of a suitable size and 5.5. mm thick are cut into strips, assembled into sets and held in saturated steam vats for between 30 and 48 hours. They are then hydrated in vats containing superheated water. Tension is released by passing the strips (4) between pairs of rollers of different curvature. They are then dried and stabilised, then are connected to a high stability base material (5) 7mm thick, of a specified type in a h igh frequency hydraulic press to form a composite material (1) for parquet flooring. USE/ADVANTAGE - For floors or walls. Good dimensional stability and low cost material.</p> |
