PURPOSE:To suppress formation of pyrochlore phase and to obtain a PMN-based ferroelectric substance capable of controlling dielectric characteristics and electrostrictive characteristics by calcining a mixture of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3; BaTiO3 and PbTiO3 in a given ratio. CONSTITUTION:For example, PbO, MgO, Nb2O5, TiO2 and BaO in a given ratio are blended. Then a raw material mixture providing a composition of 40-80mol% Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3, <=30mol% BaTiO3 and 20-50mol% PbTiO3 is obtained. The mixture is molded into a desired shape and calcined to give a PMN-based ferroelectric substance. |
