PURPOSE: To prevent unauthorized copying by realizing a first serial cipher function provided with two operands by using a secret memory by a wiring circuit and supplying a key word and the output of an internal memory as the operands of the wiring circuit by a responding means for the inquiry of a prescribed address. CONSTITUTION: The area of an internal secret memory 40 which can not be addressed from the outside is provided and a processing unit 9 is provided with the wiring circuit 30 capable of realizing the first serial cipher function provided with the two operands by utilizing the contents of the secret memory 40 and a means for responding to the inquiry of the prescribed address of the internal memory 11 corresponding to the key word. Then, the responding means supplies the key word and the output from the internal memory 11 as the operands of the wiring circuit 30, and on the other hand, the output of the wiring circuit 30 is supplied to an interface. Thus, the unauthorized copying of a card 5 is prevented. |
