<p>PURPOSE:To enhance fire-resisting, water-resisting, sound-proofing and sound- insulating properties and prevent the occurrence of cracking by a method wherein a pigmented coating material containing pulverulent stone and granular stone in a binder consisting of a water base epoxy resin is coated on the surface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A coating material is prepared by mixing pulverulent stoen, granular stone and other additives into a binder consisting of a water base epoxy resin. The coating material is coated on the substrate such as plywood by flow coater or the like to form a surface layer 2, followed by passing between a pair of forming rolls 4, 5 before the coating material is dried. The roll 4 is provided with an embossing rugged pattern on the outside peripheral surface to form a rugged pattern on the surface of the surface layer 2. The decorative panel A provided with the surface layer 2 is exposed to a stream of hot air at 40-60 deg.C for l0min to dry the coating material, followed by curing for half a day. Then, a urethane coating material or the like is coated on the surface layer 2 as a finish coating 3.</p> |
