A process for producing a composite metal plate for jewellery articles is described. Various metal plates are arranged one on top of the other to achieve a layer structure of the metal plates in a predetermined sequence. The corresponding metal plates are then bonded to one another to form a layer-structured plate. Then, at least one groove with a cross-section which gradually increases in width outwardly is formed on at least one side of the layer-structured plate. Subsequently the layer-structured plate is rolled to provide a composite metal plate with a striped pattern on at least one of its sides. |
