A device for converting a rotary movement into an axial movement is provided in which a spindle (1) with an external profile, a nut (2) which surrounds this spindle, can rotate relative thereto and has an inner profile (20), and suitably profiled roller bodies (3), between the spindle and the nut, are provided. In this case, the roller bodies have two different profiles one of which produces an axial force-fit with respect to the profile on the spindle and the other produces a corresponding axial force-fit with respect to the profile on the inner side (20) of the nut. …<??>The profile on the inner side (20) of the nut is preferably constructed in the form of relatively coarse grooves, of V-shaped cross-section, while a single-start fine thread is designed on the outer side of the spindle.
