PHOSPHOR CONTAINING OLIGOESTER ALCOHOL AND METHOD FOR ITS PREPARATION

Both the compound and the method are used in the chemical industry. Phosphorus-containing oligoester alcohols are used in the synthesis of solid expanded polyurethanes with reduced combustibility. They have the following formula:<IMAGE>where the value of a range between 1 and 2 and that of X between 4 and 5 and R means CH2CH2OCH2CH2. The alcohol is obtained by carrying out re-esterification of waste products from the production of dimethyl terephtalate with diethylene glycol and dimethyl phosphite.
