DEVICE FOR GAS- EXPLOSIVE COMPACTING OF MOULDING MIXTURE

This device is used in foundry for compacting disused foundry moulds. It provides for the rapid readjustment of the various moulding boxes of varying dimensions and is characterised by a high degree of operational reliability. The device includes supports (2) fixed on a foundation (1). A hydraulic cylinder (3) with a piston rod (4) connected to a bogie (5) moving in the horizontal direction is fixed to one of the supports (2). A vertical arm (6) with a cover (8) on a body (7) is mounted to one end of the bogie (5). The body (7) is mounted on the supports (2) with the explosive chamber (9) inside so that the cover (8) forms one of its vertical walls. A free space (10) exists between the other walls of the explosive chamber (9) and the body (7). In the upper part of the explosive chamber (9) there is a reflecting cover (11) with a detonating tube (12) connected to it. The lower end of the latter is in the explosive chamber (9). A gas mixer (13) and an ignition spark plug (14) are mounted to the top part of the explosive chamber (9). Injector mixers (15) with a guiding cover (16) are mounted to the reflecting cover (11). Vertical shifting mechanisms (20) mounted with a mobile table (21) are located in the lower part of the explosive chamber (9). The technological unit, hinged to the cover (8) is mounted on the mobile table (21).
