DEVICE FOR PLASMA- ARC SURFACE STRENGTHENING

This device is used in machine building for the application of a strengthening layer on metal products. The strengthened layer obtained is characterised by increased widths and high quality since the structure is uniform along the width. The device consists of a plasmotron (1) fixed to a lever (2) which is hinged in its upper part to a support (3). A slider (5) with a mounted rolling element (6), located in a cam groove (7) of an eccentric (8) is fastened to the lower end of the lever (2). The eccentric (8) which has a second camshaft (12), rotated at an angle I in relation to the first one (7) is fastened to the shaft of the engine (9) setting the device in motion. A second sliding element (11), mounted to a second slider (10) is placed in the second camshaft (12). The plasmotron is mounted on the lever (2) and a fixed element (15) with guiding grooves (14) cut along the diameter where the first (5) and the second (10) sliders are located is mounted on a bracket (17) of the bearing mobile structure. On the opposite side of the plasmotron (1) to the respective end of the second slider (10) there is a counterweight (13).
