PURPOSE:To obtain an emergency calling equipment capable of calling only when a passenger has a will to respond by providing a terminal equipment with a means for detecting that a passenger depresses a call switch on an interphone and a means for connecting the interphone with a public line so as to allow talking. CONSTITUTION:When abnormality occurs in the elevator and a call is generated from a monitoring center through the public line, operation guidance of the interphone 13 in the elevator cage is generated by voice synthesis or the like, and only when the depression of the call switch 19 such as a pushbutton is detected, the monitoring center is connected to the elavator cage so as to speak with each other. Thereby, the monitoring center is not communicated with the elevator cage until the passenger in the cage depresses the call switch 19 corresponding to the hooking-off of a normal telephone receiver. |
