This apparatus is intended for use in the microbiology industry. It is used for vigorous stirring in a narrow range, affording optimisation of the technological process, shortening of the manufacturing cycle and reduced power consumption. The apparatus comprises a vertical, cylindrically shaped vessel (14) with a roller bearing vertical shaft (3) which can move in a reciprocated manner with plates (7) affixed thereto situated at equal intervals from each other. The plates (7) are in the shape of a truncated torus. The interior of the vertical cylindrical vessel (14) is connected to an overflow drain (12) via tubing (10,11) set up at its upper and the lower flanges.
