Guide device for the sealed passage of a telecommunication cable (1) or of a rope for hauling such a cable, having a variable cross-section, in a pneumatic-injection installation of this cable into a duct, combined with a blowing gun (9) suitable for being immobilised at the open end (7) of a duct (4) into which the cable is to be installed, the gun being connected to at least one member (10) for supplying pressurised air into the duct. According to the invention, this device is characterised in that it comprises two identical half-shells (14, 15) which are arranged on either side of the same plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the cable and which include a central passage (28) capable of housing the cable bearing on its outer surface, each half-shell being mounted so as to move on a fixed support body (19) against a spring (16 and 17, respectively) continually exerting a force for moving the two half-shells closer together, in such a way that, due to the effect of a variation (13) in the cross-section of the cable, the two half-shells move apart by a distance just sufficient for this cable to pass through. <IMAGE>
