The invention relates to a two-part fastening device. It includes a retaining part (1) and an operating part (17). This part (17) is intended to be inserted in a hole (3) passing through the retaining part, so that, firstly, it can be held captive in the hole (3) and, secondly, it can be driven further into the hole (3) in order radially to expand fingers (9) of the part (1) so that they secure an object to a fitting.
